Scholarship Program
The Brad Conner Memorial Scholarship is awarded to an outstanding senior from Kellogg High School. For those seniors interested in applying, applications are available at the High School (see Mr. Grigg). The Scholarship Committee is looking for students that share the same hard working, caring, integral and unselfish qualities that Brad had.The 2009 recipient is Cole Lewis. With a 4.0 GPA Cole was ranked #1 in his class. His school was activities included football, track, Honors Society, Eagles Scouts and Student Council. His community activities included, helping with the Winter Special Olympics, Eagles, annual Food Drive, Technology Fair, Clean up of local cemetery and PTA Carnival. Cole will be attending University of Idaho to pursue Mechanical Engineering.
With many impressive applicants, the 2008 scholarship was awarded to Adam Furlin. Adam is continuing his education at University of Idaho, studying Fire Ecology and Management. Ranking 5th in his class with a 3.65 GPA, Adam was a part of: Track, Basketball, Football, was a Class Officer, National Honor Society, North Idaho Top Scholar and Career Leaders of America. Adam is also active in community volunteer programs and various committees.
In addition to the scholarship, a lap top computer was awarded to Jeremy BigSprings. Special thanks to Rick Fuller, owner of The Mouse Pad.
