With Memorial Day 2010 recently passing, we would like to say Thank You again to all the donors, guests, participants and volunteers who helped to make the Brad Conner Scholarship a reality. The Memorial Golf Tournament Dinner & Auction have been a great success and in May we names scholarship recipients for the 3rd year. Nicole Lewis was named as the $1,000 scholarship winer. Lee Fink received a laptop computer and Erik & Lee Fink both received a $500 scholarship.
With the past fundraising efforts, the scholarship is in good shape and in a position to continue awarding scholarships in memory of Brad Conner for many years to come. In March of 2010, board members met in Coeurd' Alene to discuss the future of the Memorial Golf Tournament and Dinner Auction. We are so thankful for all the success of the past tournaments, but with the current economy, it was determined that no tournament would be held this year. The board does feel a great responsibility towards the memory of Brad Conner and toward all who have given in his honor. We are therefore looking to make the scholarship fund into a non-profit entity independent of the Kellogg School District. As this effort becomes a reality, we will keep you informed. We will also keep you informed of future events as they are scheduled.
Please do not hesitate to contact any board member about questions concerning the Brad Conner Scholarship Fund, or about making donations in Brad's memory. We cannot say thank you enough to all who have given in memory of Brad. We look forward to seeing you all in the future.

Mamas' Poem:
Our son worked hard, he studied hard, he faced what was in store.
He didn't hesitate to respond when opportunity knocked at his door.
Heeding the statement "No pain, No gain" his mind and body were put to the test.
Make no mistake, That's what it takes when determined to do your best.
His heart for his family and country, his life was a two edged sword.
Unafraid to challenge evil, Unashamed to serve the Lord.
Two somber, yet compassionate faces, the identifying uniforms they wore.
Struck anguish deep within our hearts as the chaplains knocked at our door.
He honored the call of God on his life, How can a soldier do more ?
When duty called, he said "I'll go" when the savior knocked at his door and called him home.
